Avril is developing projects for both film and television on both sides of the Atlantic, including an adaptation of a major book with a US studio. Her original series RIVALS is being supported by the BBC for Greenacre Films. PAO, adapted from the Costa shortlisted first novel recently had a Sky Table read. As a director she has made numerous shorts, which have been shown on TV and at film festivals around the world, DISTINCTION now regarded as an underground classic. She has adapted novels and contributed to TV series such as Babyfather, Silent Witness and Waterloo Road. Her latest short THE PURPLE PLAIN was developed through London Calling Plus, 2016, launched at London Film Festival and is in active development as a major feature. She has recently written for BBC’s CASUALTY.
